Recipes - Pizza Casserole

This is one of the most fattening, cheesy, delicious things I have ever eaten. It isn't healthy and it isn't cheap - but it is soooo worth it! I'm including prices with the recipe to give a general idea of what this may cost you.

Pizza Casserole
2 cans crescent rolls - $1.49x2 - $2.98
1 lb ground beef - I use ground turkey - $1.19
1/2 jar spaghetti sauce - .99/2 - $0.50
8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded - $1.29
8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded - $1.29
1 can mushrooms - $0.59
1/4 onion, chopped - $0.50/4 - $0.13
1/3 bag pepperoni - $1.99/3 - $0.66

Brown ground beef/turkey. Cover the bottom of a 9x13 pan with one can of crescent rolls. Spread on spaghetti sauce and then cover with ground beef/turkey. In layers, add the cheddar cheese, toppings, and mozzarella cheese. Cover with the second can of crescent rolls. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

The toppings can of course be varied according to personal taste. In total, this dish costs me $8.63, making it one of my most expensive recipes. However, it makes 8 very generous servings so it ends up being about $1.08/serving.

I'd love to hear if anyone else loves this dish as much as I do!
