Dale Earnhardt, Jr Freebies

Okay...to be perfectly honest I am NOT a fan of NASCAR. I don't get it! However, my brother-in-law is a fanatic about Dale Earnhardt, Jr. That's why I was SO excited to come across this freebie!

On the National Guard website, in the lower right corner is a box that says "Fan Club Sign Up." It takes about a minute to fill out the form. I did it less than a month ago and I got a box containing a Dale Jr window cling, keychain, and a hat. The hat is very nice quality - it does NOT look like it was free! I'm wrapping it up to give to my brother-in-law for his birthday!

This deal was originally found on mysavings.com.

The Full Plate Diet - Free Book

Okay, the only thing that makes me happier than getting a book is getting it for free. And the only thing that makes me happier than getting something for free is that "something" being a book!

This is an awesome offer from The Full Plate Diet. You can sign up to receive a copy of this book - completely free! They are sending it to the first 20,000 people who request. They just ask that we try the diet and provide them with feedback.

Thanks to It's Hip To Save! for letting me pass this information along!

Walmart.com Free Samples

Walmart.com is a pretty good resource for free samples. They change their offers often and ship the samples quickly. The best part is that nearly all of the samples I've received also come with a fairly high-value coupon.

Diaper Samples

Companies fall all over themselves trying to get their product to new parents. Take advantage of the offers! If you are going to be using disposable diapers it will actually benefit you to try several brands. I am usually a whatever works/whatever is on sale person...but I am brand loyal to the diapers we use! Signing up for diaper samples usually means your name will be on their list for upcoming promotions and coupons. I have never been anything but happy with additional mailings I have received from diaper companies.

Potty Training Aids

We are in the thick of things right now potty-training our son. There are a few promotional items available to potty-training parents! I can't really attest to just how effective these tools will be...but really, isn't ANYTHING worth a try?

Potty Prints Kit from Pull-Ups (I received this 07/27. I didn't know it was cling decals for toilets! I don't know what I thought it was...but not that. They are hilarious and my son is going to LOVE them. What a great idea!)
Potty Training Success DVD from Pull-Ups
Customizable Progress Chart from Pull-Ups
Potty Training Kit from Pampers
Printable Sticker Charts

GOOD LUCK!

Coloring And Activity Books

I can't believe how many coloring books my son goes through in just a month or two. And he isn't even that interested in coloring! I am always on the lookout for cheap or free coloring and/or activity books for kids. Here are a few to try:

Milk Matters with Buddy Brush Coloring Book
Healthy Habits Activity Booklet for Kids
See All You Can See - National Eye Institute
You Can Be A Nurse!

I will always post an update when I come across new titles!

Free DVDs For The Kids

Mattel has two great offers for free children's DVDs. Both are animated programs intended for ages 3 and up. Precious Places is only 12 minutes long, but the GeoTrax DVD has four episodes for a total of 46 minutes. We received Precious Places very quickly but haven't watched it yet. I will post a review when we do!

Both of these are free along with free shipping and handling. I love having things like this on hand for stocking stuffers - or a rainy day emergency!

Hello, Dolly!

If there is any one program that combines everything I love in this world - books, early education, and getting things for free - it is Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

I was so excited when we moved last year and ended up in a county that participates in the program! Each month, both of my children receive a book in the mail. They are age-appropriate, so my 3-year-old is getting storybooks with real pages and my seven-month-old is getting simple board books. I consider myself to have more than a bit of knowledge about children's books and I have been VERY impressed with what we have received. We read our Imagination Library books all the time.

Is there anything more important than getting our youngest generation off to their best start? To find out if your community participates in the program, or how you can support this ambitious endeavor, go to the Imagination Library website.

Happy reading!
